Attendance

 Average Daily Attendance (ADA) Goal

Our goal is to ensure that students are attending school at least 96% of the time which includes being out of school for medical reasons and out of school suspension (OSS). Students should be in school every dayall day and on time. Poor school attendance is a strong predictor of school drop-out. However, when students are present in school, they have a better likelihood of making better grades and becoming successful adults. Parent/Guardian involvement is key to improved student attendance and achievement.

Parents can become actively involved in their child’s success by connecting with us. We encourage all parents to attend parent meetings, open houses, curriculum nights, special events and parent/teacher conference nights to create and maintain a relationship with their child's teachers, administrator and other school staff.  Also, we encourage parents to check the parent portal on regular basis. In the parent portal you can access information about attendance, behavior, grades and send teachers an e-mail directly from the parent portal. Click the link to access the parent portal https://powerschool.richlandone.org/public/.

attendance matters

Showing up for school has a huge impact on a student's academic success starting in kindergarten and continuing through high school.  Even as children grow older and more independent, families play a key role inmaking usre students get to school safely every day and understood why attendance is so important for success in school and on the job.  Good attendance is not just important in school, it is also a life skill that will help your child graduate from college and maintain stable employment in the future.  Please see this link for more information.  http://www.attendanceworks.org/

Stop Bullying

In Richland One, we encourage students to report bullying if they experience or witness it on campus, on the bus, or at school events. Please visit www.richlandone.org/bullying for more information and/or to make a report.

Reports are kept confidential. If you are reporting this incident as a bystander, we will protect your identity. If you are a victim, we want to help you and protect your identity. Working as a TEAM keeps intimidation, harassment, and bullying out of Richland One!
